The weekend calendar is packed. Kick off your Friday catching Shovels & Rope at The Lincoln, or get an early start on spooky season with opening night of Nightmare on 17th Street. Saturday starts with the Cheyenne Farmers Market, then take your pick of Oktoberfest outings with Black Tooth’s Oktoberfest Street Party starting at 11:00 a.m. and Freedom's Edge Brewing Co's event beginning at noon. If you’d rather make something spooky, the Botanic Gardens is hosting a Creepy Creations: Haunted Terrarium Workshop where you’ll build your own miniature haunted landscape. Sunday is your last chance to catch Shrek the Musical at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse, with Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and the rest of the crew wrapping up their run. Enjoy the weekend, and see you out there!

Funnies and Flatbreads: Stand-Up Comedy at Silly Sips | 6:00 p.m. | Silly Sips, 2206 Dell Range Blvd, Suite D | Free to Attend | Grab some food and drinks, then stick around for a night of stand-up comedy from local performers.

Date Night Pick Your Project Workshop | 6:00 p.m. | Board & Brush Cheyenne | $73 | Pick a wood project, choose your paint and stain colors, and spend the evening building something of your own with step-by-step help from the Board & Brush team. This workshop is 16+, BYOB, and pre-registration is required.

Shovels & Rope | 7:00 p.m. | The Lincoln, 1615 Central Ave | $36.73 | Husband-and-wife duo Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent bring their mix of Americana, folk, country, and rock to The Lincoln.

Shrek the Musical (Also Sat & Sun) | 7:00 p.m. | Mary Godfrey Playhouse, 2706 E Pershing Blvd | $21+ | It’s the last weekend to see Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and the rest of the fairy-tale crew!

Nightmare on 17th Street Opening Night (Also Sat) | 7:00 p.m. | Nightmare on 17th Street Haunted House, 312 1/2 W 17th St | $20 | Opening night is here for Nightmare on 17th Street. Wear a costume for discounted admission and get an early start on spooky season.

Family Day — Creepy, Crawly Critters! | 10:00 a.m. | Wyoming State Museum, 2301 Central Ave | Free to Attend | Meet live spiders, snakes, salamanders, and more while learning why these creepy, crawly critters matter. There will also be crafts, slime, a raffle, and more for families.

2026 Autumn Fest & Pumpkin Patch (Also Sun) | 10:00 a.m. | Windy Creek Farm, 3700 Campstool Rd | $6+ | Spend the day at Windy Creek Farm with the pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay maze, train rides, bounce house, pumpkin bowling, giant games, and more fall fun.

Creepy Creations: Haunted Terrarium Workshop | 10:30 a.m. | Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, 710 S Lions Park Dr | $52 | Build your own spooky miniature landscape with mosses, lichens, plants, and other creepy details during this hands-on terrarium workshop. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed.

Oktoberfest Street Party | 11:00 a.m. | Black Tooth Brewery, 520 W 19th St | Free to Attend | Black Tooth’s annual Oktoberfest Street Party returns with a full day of beer, food, and more!

Cheyenne Cardboard and Capes Gaming Event | 11:00 a.m. | Cheyenne Shrine Club, 224 E Iowa St | $5+ | Spend the day with cards, comics, cosplay, open gaming tables, vendors, and more during this inaugural gaming event. Cosplay is welcome, and early VIP entry is available.

Hike for Hunger | 12:00 p.m. | Hynds Lodge & Amphitheatre | $50 | Head into the Medicine Bow National Forest for guided hikes, food, live music, and family activities, all while helping raise awareness of hunger and food insecurity in Wyoming.

Oktoberfest at FEBC | 12:00 p.m. | Freedom’s Edge Brewing Company, 1509 Pioneer Ave | Free to Attend | Freedom’s Edge is going all-in on Oktoberfest with German food, beer releases, limited-edition steins, live music, a vendor market, kids activities, a stein-holding competition, Hammerschlagen, and more.

A Girl’s Girl Book Fair! | 2:00 p.m. | The Blue Stem Wine House, 1909 Warren Ave | Free to Attend | Books, wine, food, games, and local vendors take over The Blue Stem for an afternoon of indie authors.

UW Football Watch Party | 3:30 p.m. | Black Tooth Brewery, 520 W 19th St | Free to Attend | Cheer on the Pokes as they take on North Dakota State, with the game on and Queso’s serving food all day.
